︎︎︎︎ Back before it was so obviously the end of the line, there was a moment where we stood all dumb and innocent in the late summer sunlight; in an arid little west coast suburb too far inland to feel the ocean itself, but just close enough to dip toes in the brackish edge murk of delta water one supposed connected to it somehow, eventually. We could only dream of crashing waves.
