WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THIS LOVE THAT YOU DON'T WANT?
This event was an honor & a delight, from which I am still reeling. Eternal thanks to all involved and in attendance, most especially Jamie Calderon, Randy Yau, and all those in the orbit of Tolleson Studios, as well as Pete Searson & Matt Sharkey. ︎︎
...As creative professionals, we’re often tasked with emphasizing ‘authenticity’ in our work. How do we keep our own artistic voices alive and engaged? How much of our true selves do we bring to the conference table? Join us for a casual spring mixer at Tolleson, featuring an exhibition of non-commercial artworks in textile, print, photography, and more; including work from Matt Sharkey, Jason Redwood, Christian Joy, 69tearz, Tina Vines, Public_LDN and Neutral Babylon Direct; as well as the cyanotype process work behind Hard Luck Olympics, an animated short created over almost seven years of nights and weekends.
We’ll also unpack some of the unlikely inspirational intersections between textile, craft, personal narrative, and diy punk culture, featuring conversation with Pete Searson of Sausalito-based Tellason Denim, Photographer & Creative Agency Lead Matt Sharkey, & artist/designer Brady Baltezore, aka Neutral Babylon Direct. Thursday April 23 6-9pm 2026 @Tolleson in Sausalito CA.
